What is the benefit

The KS data model operates not with mathematical abstractions (as in OLAP systems), but with real-world objects and their attributes (e.g., equipment, materials, operations, products, employees, etc.).

The set of base classes and their attributes is not limited. Modelers can create them in any quantity and extend their attributes as the application evolves, making the model highly flexible and adaptable.

The object-oriented approach simplifies working with data by enabling logical structuring of information and building relationships between model elements. Its key advantage is the ability to configure very large-scale models while maintaining a high level of transparency and manageability.

Object-based models are also well-suited for describing complex Excel-like models with a large number of specific functions.
