Calculation models in Knowledge Space enable simulation of real production, logistics, and other supply chain processes, taking into account all relevant specifics (capacity performance, resource requirements, operation durations, etc.).

What is the benefit

Thanks to the object-oriented logic and the ability to represent real-world entities, KS models create digital twins of supply chains. These twins simulate real operational scenarios.

Simulation can be performed in a pull mode, where the output of the supply chain is defined (e.g., sales volume), and the system sequentially simulates all processes required to fulfill the plan across production, logistics, procurement, and other functions—while considering all real constraints.

Simulation can also be performed in a push mode, where input parameters are defined (e.g., raw material extraction volume). The model then simulates the entire supply chain, accounting for all constraints, leading to the production and sale of finished goods.

Both pull and push approaches can be combined within a single model.
